About Madame Destiny Megaways
Madame Destiny Megaways is the sequel, released on 28 January 2021, to 2018's Madame Destiny. The first game sat on a 5x3 grid with ten lines and a 1,500x ceiling. This one moves to six reels of 2 to 8 rows and up to 200,704 Megaways, with the ceiling raised to 5,000x. The change of scale is real, but it does not land where you would expect.
Our listing described the reels with the formula 7-8-8-8-8-7. It is not wrong — that product does give 200,704 — but it describes each reel's maximum height rather than the game's format, which is a grid of six columns varying between 2 and 8 symbols tall. We have reworded it. The release date has been corrected from the 18th to 28 January 2021.
The base game runs on the usual Pragmatic Megaways principle: combinations of three or more matching symbols left to right from the first reel, with an exception for the owl, the top-paying symbol. Every win triggers a cascade that removes the winning symbols and drops new ones in. The hit rate is 33.3%, one spin in three — a fairly active base game for this format.
Madame Destiny herself is the wild. She substitutes for ordinary symbols and doubles the value of any combination she helps form. In the base game she is the only source of multiplication; combined with the cascades, she regularly produces decent spins without ever climbing far.
Everything hinges on the scatters. Three, four, five or six of them pay 5x, 10x, 20x and 100x the stake respectively and open the feature. And this is where the game departs from the genre: there is no fixed number of spins. Instead, a two-ring wheel of fortune spins once. The inner ring sets the number of spins — 5, 8, 10 or 12 — and the outer ring a multiplier — 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, up to 25x.
That multiplier applies to every bonus win, cascades included, and crucially it never increases. This is the break with the rest of the genre: on a standard Megaways the multiplier steps up with each successive drop, so a spin can transform mid-flight. Here the value is settled before the first spin even happens. A wheel giving 2x and 5 spins produces a pointless feature; a wheel giving 25x and 12 spins produces the session.
The corrective is the retrigger. Three or more scatters during the free spins spin the wheel again, and the multiplier obtained is added to the one already active rather than replacing it. The number of retriggers is uncapped. It is from this stacking that the game's big results come, far more than from the cascades.
Two options modify the stake. The Ante Bet raises the wager by 25% and adds scatters to the reels, which doubles the probability of triggering the feature. The bonus buy at 100x grants direct access where regulation allows. BigWinBoard notes that the RTP rises to 96.67% when these betting options are active, against 96.56% in normal play — the reverse of what is seen on many Pragmatic buys, where the return drops.
This also explains a discrepancy between our sources on the maximum stake: AboutSlots gives 100 €, BigWinBoard 125 €. Both are accurate. 100 € is the base ceiling; the Ante Bet mechanically takes it to 125 € since it raises the wager by a quarter.
That leaves the harshest statistic. The 5,000x ceiling is estimated at 1 chance in 1,071,429 spins, and the bonus triggers once every 446 spins. Volatility is rated high, 5 out of 5 by the studio. Builds at 95.70% and 94.63% circulate depending on the operator.
