About Hot Chilli
Hot Chilli is a three-reel, three-row machine released on 8 August 2019 according to SlotCatalog — the same day as Extra Juicy, which also sits in our catalogue. Pragmatic Play's official page describes it plainly as "the 3×3 slot where ingredients mix with red-hot multipliers". SlotCatalog and AskGamblers both count nine lines across those nine cells.
The base rule is that of a classic machine: you match three symbols on reels 1 to 3 to land a prize. The official page then adds a detail worth pausing on — "certain symbols combine to award wins even if they don't match". On a 3×3 grid, where the standard rule is three identical symbols or nothing, that adjustment mechanically widens the set of paying combinations. Pragmatic Play does not spell out which groups of symbols qualify, and we are not going to guess: the in-game paytable is the only source that says.
The engine of the game is the peppers. The official page states that chilli pepper symbols come attached with a 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x multiplier, and that these are what "pave the way" to the published maximum win of 888x. AskGamblers goes further and describes the red pepper as a wild that substitutes for every symbol except the scatter; Pragmatic Play neither confirms nor denies that status on its page, which mentions neither wilds nor scatters. We therefore report the two layers of information separately.
What the official page leaves out matters as much as what it states: there are no free spins, no bonus game and no feature buy. AskGamblers confirms as much. The consequence is arithmetic and worth spelling out: in a game with no bonus round, the entire theoretical return is distributed across ordinary spins.
