About Fat Santa
Fat Santa runs on a 5x5 grid with 50 paylines — Push Gaming's own page says "50 paylines", while SlotCatalog describes them as 50 ways to win. The game is a reskin of Fat Rabbit, the first title in the studio's "fat" series, later joined by Fat Drac.
The base game has no permanent special symbol. Everything starts with the Sleigh feature, which triggers at random while the reels are spinning. When Santa flies past on his sleigh, he may leave Christmas pies behind on the grid. Those pies act as wilds. It is a purely random event: no combination causes it and no strategy brings it closer.
If Santa appears alongside at least one pie, the free spins open. The principle is the only one in the game, and it is neatly built: you feed Santa with wild pies. Every pie he swallows makes him bigger, and every increase in size awards additional spins. Clash of Slots notes that he can end up covering the entire 5x5 grid, and that a 4x4 format already makes for a very profitable round — logically enough, since a wild covering sixteen of twenty-five positions leaves little room for a losing spin.
The bonus buy costs 80x the stake and awards five spins with the growing Santa. Five is short, and at 80x the feature has to return more than 80x on average simply to cover its own price. In cash: £20 at the 25p minimum, £2,000 at the £25 maximum. Push Gaming's official page shows only 3,844x as its highest observed win. The two values do not measure quite the same thing, but the gap is large and we will not adjudicate it: BetsRank keeps 6,400x while flagging the studio's own figure. Translated into cash, 6,400x is £1,600 at 25p, £6,400 at £1 and £160,000 at the maximum stake.
Volatility is disputed too. Push Gaming rates the game "Mid - High"; SlotCatalog calls it medium and Clash of Slots average. BetsRank follows the studio and files it as medium to high.
