About Evil Eyes
Evil Eyes is played on a 5-reel, 5-row grid with 3,125 ways. That number is not decoration: it is exactly 5 to the power of 5, the count of possible paths when each of five reels offers five positions. There are no paylines, only matching symbols aligned left to right on consecutive reels.
The heart of the game is the Evil Eye symbol and its Evil Spread mechanic. Hacksaw states two explicit restrictions: the Evil Eye can appear only on reel 3, and it cannot land on row 1. Four positions out of twenty-five, or 16% of the grid. If it lands beneath a winning symbol, it marks every symbol in that win, then rotates to indicate a direction — right or down — and replaces the marked symbols with the winning symbol, extending the combination to the edge of the grid.
At least three FS scatters trigger Wicked Night. The round starts with three lives, which refill every time an Evil Eye collects multipliers. Each time one lands, it glances up, right, left or down and collects every multiplier symbol crossing that gaze. Two families of values coexist: additive multipliers from 1x to 100x, and multiplying multipliers from x2 to x10. It is the combination of both that separates a decent bonus from a big one.
At least four scatters open The Graveyard: 10 free spins during which low symbols that have been part of a win and spread by Evil Spread stop appearing. This is progressive deck-thinning — every removed symbol raises the density of high symbols for all remaining spins, so the feature's potential grows as it runs. Two extra scatters add 2 spins, three add 4.
The Wicked Epic Drop activates at random at the start of a base-game spin and guarantees a minimum of 3 Evil Eye symbols and 4 multipliers on that spin.
Default RTP is 96.24%, meaning the house keeps €3.76 of every €100 staked. Three lower settings exist: 94.21%, 92.32% and 88.36%. The recorded hit rate is 29%, roughly one paying spin in three and a half, against a volatility Hacksaw rates 4 out of 5.
Stakes run from €0.10 to €100. The 12,500x ceiling is worth €1,250 at minimum stake, €12,500 at €1 and €1,250,000 at the maximum. That is above the studio average: of the 161 Hacksaw titles listed at BetsRank, only 49 reach 12,500x or more.
Five buys are offered, none of them in the United Kingdom: BonusHunt FeatureSpins at 3x stake, I Spy With My Evil Eye at 50x, An Eye For An Evil Eye also at 50x, Wicked Night at 100x and The Graveyard at 200x. The game went wide on 12 September 2024 after an exclusive window that opened on 4 September.
