Dragon Tribe plays on a 6-reel, 4-row grid, meaning 4,096 ways to win at the outset, and that grid stretches in height during play up to a maximum of 20,736 ways. Nolimit City published it on 12 December 2019; SlotCatalog lists 29 November 2019 instead, and we follow the studio's date. One arithmetical detail is worth stating: 20,736 is not six to the power of six, which would be 46,656. Not every column therefore reaches six rows at the same time.
The base engine is a cascade system: winning symbols are removed, new ones drop from above, and the sequence continues as long as it keeps producing wins. On top of that sit the studio's two signature mechanics.
The xWays Mystery Symbol is a mystery symbol that can hold up to three identical symbols; on revealing, it extends the height of its reel and raises the number of ways to win. It is what takes the grid from 4,096 to 20,736 ways, five times more. Nolimit City notes on its own sheet that xWays first appeared in Pixies Vs Pirates before being popularised by Punk Rocker, released in early 2020: Dragon Tribe is therefore among the very first titles to carry it.
The xNudge Wild works differently. A landing wild drops to the bottom of its reel, and each step down adds 1 to its multiplier, up to x6. Once at the bottom, it occupies the entire reel. A wild that already lands low therefore earns almost no multiplier, while one appearing at the very top of a stretched column is worth the maximum. That is exactly the xNudge® logic as the studio describes it: one increment per step.
