About Cluster Slide
Cluster Slide was released in September 2022. ELK Studios' official data sheet publishes a 96.0% RTP, volatility rated 7 out of 10, a ceiling of 10,000x the bet and a hit frequency of 38.6% — by some distance the highest of the six ELK games we verified against official sheets.
Two significant corrections were made here. The BetsRank database described a 6x6 grid; the studio's official page states seven columns across eight rows, meaning 56 positions rather than 36. The database also recorded no bonus buy, whereas ELK writes plainly that the game ships with X-iter modes. Both errors are now fixed.
The game's name describes its mechanic. Symbols do not fall from above: they slide from right to left. A gathering of five or more matching symbols forms a winning cluster and explodes. That is a genuine departure from a conventional cascade, because the refill arrives from the side rather than the top, which changes how groups reassemble.
The backbone of the game is the Generator. Every winning symbol fills that meter, and each time it fills, it releases a Feature Wild. There are five, each carrying one function: Multiplier, Removing, Upgrading, Random and Big Wild. The function does not fire when the symbol lands but every time that Feature Wild forms part of a winning cluster — a distinction that matters, since one wild can fire several times in a single round.
According to BigWinBoard, Big expands a symbol into a 2x2 block, Random converts two to four pay symbols into wilds, Multiplier adds 1 to the multiplier, Upgrading lifts one symbol type to a higher value, and Removing clears every instance of one symbol type from the grid. Assembling all five Feature Wilds in the same round adds x5 to the total multiplier, on top of the points earned one by one by each activated Multiplier.
Three bonus symbols open Wild Drops, which awards three successive, pre-calibrated drops: the first adds three 1x1 wilds, the second two 2x2 wilds, the third one 3x3 wild. Added up that is 3, then 8, then 9 wild cells, or 20 positions out of the grid's 56 — roughly 36% of the surface covered by added wilds. The round can be retriggered.
A 96.0% RTP amounts to €4.00 of house margin per €100 wagered. Across the 33 ELK games in the BetsRank database, that places Cluster Slide above the 94% shared by the whole recent Tropicool and Cygnus generation, but below the 96.3% of Joker Gems, the studio's other cluster game, which plays on 5x5 with a ceiling of just 1,200x. Bets run from €0.20 to €100: 10,000x is worth €2,000 at the minimum and €1,000,000 at the maximum, matching exactly the maximum exposure ELK publishes. Finally, the studio advertises five X-iter modes running from 15x the bet, for three drops carrying an x5 multiplier, up to 300x for the Super Bonus. ELK does not publish the price of the three intermediate tiers, and we will not invent them. These purchases are banned in the United Kingdom.
