About Booze Bash
Released on 12 June 2025, Booze Bash sets up shop in a Prohibition-era backroom bar: neon, cocktail glasses with faces, jazz underneath and the low-level menace this studio does so well. The grid runs 6 reels by 4 rows, stakes go from €0.10 to €100, and there are no paylines and no ways at all.
The engine is called Match 2 Win and it is the reason the game exists. The grid is split into three two-reel segments: 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6. No symbol ever appears whole — only as a left half or a right half. A win occurs when both halves of the same symbol meet on the same row inside a segment. A single spin can therefore produce up to twelve independent pairs, and your eye quickly learns to scan in column pairs rather than horizontally.
Base payouts are deliberately modest: 0.5x to 250x the stake depending on the symbol. What lifts the numbers are the Multiplier Pairs. These special pairs carry a value between 2x and 20x and, once formed, they apply to every win on that spin, not just to their own segment. Better still, several Multiplier Pairs on the same spin stack together. That accumulation, and nothing else, is what makes the published 12,500x ceiling plausible.
Free spins run on scatter pairs, and there are three tiers. A single scatter pair opens Guilty as Gin: 10 free spins with a raised frequency of high-paying symbols. Two pairs trigger Top-Shelf Trouble: also 10 spins, but the game adds the Bash Bar, an extra row above the grid that reveals symbols left to right after each spin. Those revealed symbols can form winning pairs with the matching halves directly below, which mechanically multiplies the chances of a match.
Three scatter pairs trigger Hell's Happy Hour, the peak of the game: the same 10 spins, the same Bash Bar, except the bar can now reveal every special symbol, wilds and Multiplier Pairs included. It is by far the most profitable mode — and it is also the only one of the three Hacksaw refuses to sell. In all three bonuses, each scatter pair that lands adds 2 free spins.
So the buys come down to three entries. BonusHunt FeatureSpins costs 3x the stake and multiplies the chance of triggering a bonus on one spin by five. Guilty as Gin costs 100x the stake, Top-Shelf Trouble 200x. Hell's Happy Hour has to be earned in play. That is a defensible design decision, but it is worth knowing before spending 200x in the hope of landing the best mode.
On RTP, Hacksaw applies its usual split into four tiers: 96.31 %, 94.29 %, 92.31 % and 88.28 %. The operator decides. With volatility published at 4 out of 5, the bottom build makes the game frankly pointless: open the « i » menu before betting seriously.
Worth comparing with The Count for tone and Fighter Pit for the tiered three-bonus structure.
