Asgardian Rising in detail
Asgardian Rising launched on 2 February 2023 on a grid PG Soft describes precisely in its own documentation: 6 reels, 5 rows, plus an extra cell sitting on top of reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. On screen that reads as a 5-6-6-6-6-5, giving 2,025 to 32,400 ways to win depending on the effective column height for that spin. The engine is a standard collapsing-reels setup: every paid combination is removed, the symbols above drop in to fill the gaps, and the grid is evaluated again. Nothing unusual for this studio so far — what sets the game apart is what happens beneath the reels during those cascades.
Under reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 sit four independent multiplier counters. In the base game they start every spin inactive, at x1. As soon as a winning symbol lands on one of those four reels, the matching counter switches to active; if it was already active, it climbs by +1. The detail almost nobody relays correctly: wins are multiplied by the sum of the active counters, not by the highest one. Four counters at x2 are therefore worth x8, not x2. That addition is why a cascade that keeps going changes scale entirely on its final drops, while an isolated win pays almost nothing.
