About AFK: Airport Security
AFK: Airport Security runs on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 243 ways to win. Nolimit City released it on 7 July 2026, after early access opened on 30 June at a handful of operators. A feature meter sits above the grid, and that is where the game is actually played.
Twelve random features can activate, at any stage of play. Quarantine removes 1 or 2 low-paying symbols from the screen. Full Body Scanner replaces 1 or 2 low-paying symbols with a randomly chosen high-paying one. Not My Bag drops 3 to 6 mystery symbols that all reveal the same regular symbol. Arm Slides expands every wild on screen to fill its whole reel. Class Upgrade picks a regular symbol and applies an x3, x5, x8 or x10 multiplier to all of its instances. Extra Seat Space splits every instance of a symbol into two; Full Row Booking does the same across 1, 2 or 3 entire reels. Lithium-ion Batteries turns 1 or 2 symbols into wilds and splits the adjacent ones. Turbulence shuffles non-winning symbols while keeping their multiplier and size. "Random" Security Search converts 1 to 3 symbols into wilds. Air-Mile Multiplier reveals an x3, x5, x8 or x10 multiplier applied to all wins. Finally, Connecting Flight pays combinations both ways.
Two house mechanics complete the set. xZone® adds +1 multiplier to every regular paying symbol and wild adjacent to it, vertically, horizontally and diagonally; several xZones can land on the same row, never on the same reel. xSplit®, which the studio introduced in July 2021 with xWays Hoarder xSplit, splits every symbol to its left into two — mechanically inflating the number of ways to win — then turns itself into a wild.
Free spins come in three classes, all of seven spins. Three Bonus symbols open Economy Class Spins, which start with one feature active for the whole round. Four symbols give Business Class Spins and two starting features, five symbols give First Class Spins and three. In all three cases, any feature that lights up along the way adds one spin and stays active until the end.
The studio lists three buys on its official sheet. The Bonus Booster, at 1.4x stake, guarantees a Bonus symbol on reel 2 — an unusually low entry price. The 3 Mile High Club, at 12x, guarantees at least three features. The 12 Mile High Club, at 4,500x, guarantees all twelve at once. Reviewers additionally report direct buys of the three free spin classes between 80x and 500x, a scale Nolimit City does not publish itself.
The studio's numbers are detailed. RTP is 96.07%, split into 66.74% from base play and 29.33% from the bonus, meaning £3.93 kept by the house per £100 staked over a very large number of spins. As with almost all of its games, Nolimit City ships it to operators in three tiers: 96.07%, 94.06% and 92.05%. Checking which one your casino runs is not a purist's detail — four points of RTP are paid in cash. The hit frequency is 23.94%, roughly one paid spin in four. The bonus lands once in 278 spins, a win of 100x or more once in 800, and the max win once in 11,723,329.
The ceiling, which the studio calls The Captain's Cap, is set at 19,693x stake: as soon as the total exceeds that figure, the round ends and pays exactly 19,693x. That is £3,938.60 at the £0.20 minimum and £1,969,300 at the £100 maximum. Measured against the catalogue it is an ordinary ceiling for this house: the median across the 136 Nolimit games in the BetsRank database is 20,000x, and 71 of them reach 20,000x or more. It mainly creates an arithmetic problem with the 12 Mile High Club: paying 4,500x for a game that can never return more than 19,693x means buying a ticket whose absolute best outcome is 4.4 times the money committed.
